When I saw this week's sketch challenge I immediately knew I wanted to use this old stamp from GKD.

The mistake I made was using Versafine ink and embossing powder. I forgot that it is difficult to color in an image that has been heat embossed.

I still like the image, I still like the simplicity of the card and I will be glad to add it to my donation pile for the hospital.

I will make a second one but will not heat emboss it.

Oh, that is lovely! Such a great sentiment for a sympathy card. I'm thinking you must have been colouring with pencils. I love embossed images for colouring with watercolour because it helps keep the colours from bleeding into each other but I guess I do avoid it if I'm planning to use pencils.

Such a pretty card, I wonder if some Gamsol and blending stumps would smooth out the colors (if they are pencils) or an aqua pen if they are watercolor pencils.
