 | | This week the Tea Party is headed to one of our own: Linda aka Glittergal and her husband, Phil. Phil recently underwent major surgery and Linda has been diligently caring for him. Phil has a unique gumball machine collection so our hostess, Jacqueline, asked us to use gumball, bubbles or circles on our cards. Linda loves green and blue and cats.
I wanted to make each their own card and decided to use the same colors/inks. Phils card was first stenciled with the dots on white cs but I didn't love the white so I ink blended over it all with DI Tumbled Glass. It looks better but it does diffuse the colors a bit. I thought this fun cat doing a hand spring might make him smile and it's meant to say "hope you spring back quickly". The die was a gift so it was already in black. I added the frames to bring in more black and, hopefully, a bit of quirky. The sentiment was computer generated using Happy font.
For Linda, I had recently posted a card using the faux wood technique which I really liked, so I basically duplicated it with some slight changes. As Linda loves blue and green, I used blue, blue-greens and green. I initially stamped the script bg onto white cs and then I followed the faux wood technique. The rest is just stamp, color, glue.
I hope both Phil and Linda are encouraged and cheered by the many fun cards headed their way. But mostly, I hope Phil recovers fully and quickly and the Linda gets some well-deserved rest. Hope you had a restful day today. TFL |
