 | | This is my sample for the Color Challenge hosted by Karen. The first one for 2025. Happy New Year! Her lovely colors are: Petal Pink, Soft Seafoam, Pool Party and the dessert option is add a 4th color.
My card is for an upcoming birthday, so I used carnation flowers for the January birth month flower. Although it is a two-step stamp set, I only used the filler stamps for the stem/leaves and flower head. I thought it was a softer look. Then I stamped some speckle in Pool Party.
I pulled out a long strip of Petal Pink cardstock. It was torn at the bottom, so I kept it that way. The strip was dry embossed and the torn edge sponged. I trimmed the flower panel and used a distressing tool on the bottom edge & sponged it. Put the panels together and wrapped two ribbons around. The diagonal trim fit perfectly over the crinkle ribbon. Attached the whole piece to the card base. I stamped a vertical Happy Birthday in Pecan Pie. It is a 4th color, but also an approved neutral, so I have a light dessert. Thanks for looking.
We hope you will consider using these beautiful colors and sharing what you create!
