 | | This one is for the Color Challenge hosted by Mary. Her colors are Poppy Parade, Night of Navy, and White with the dessert option of a New Years card or using something new. Also, I am linking this one for the CAS Challenge to use glitter.
I decided to wave in the New Year. I started by stamping the Happy New Year sentiment in poppy. The stamp had more on it then I wanted to use, so I masked it. I laid the stamp upside down, covered the first part with a post it note, and tapped my Poppy Parade ink pad on the words I wanted. Removed the post-it note mask and stamped with it.
I layered a piece of Navy on a Poppy card base. Then, I die-cut a wave in Poppy and one in Navy. They were layered on the panel with the sentiment, and then it was attached to the card. I finished off with some white stars punched from Dazzlin Diamonds Glimmer paper. The glitter is built into the paper. I wish SU still sold this paper. It is so sparkly.
My DD gave me the left over beads from an art kit she did. I embellished with Navy colored beads to draw attention to the sentiment.
Fun challenge to add sparkle! Terrific colors to work with! We hope you will join in and have fun. Happy New Year! TFL
