I hope this week's Teaparty Recipient, 10-year-old Evan, likes a good (or bad!) elephant joke! Jacqueline (jacqueline) is our hostess this week, and her challenge to the Teapotters is to Get Movin' by creating an interactive card for Evan. I decided to create a Flip Flap Card, as it seemed the perfect way to send this joke to cheer Evan up!
I hand-drew the slightly wonky deep-freezer that the elephant is in, after stamping him first over a post-it note. Hope that will get an extra chuckle from Evan! The washi tape is covering up a small glue accident. :-)
This is a fun type of card to make but this one took a bit of extra engineering, as my image panels were slightly larger than the ones in the tutorial so the measurements didn't work out the first time. Oh well, it opens and closes! TFL!

It is a really fun technique, thanks for reminding me of it. I think the washi tape e looks as if was fully intentional. That's a super elephant stamp.

Cute - I like this style of a card... it looks complicated but I checked You Tube and its more time consuming than difficult. I have seen them before but never made one.. now, it's on my to-create list !

I don't think I've ever seen a card like this. I'll have to check out the instructions and give it a try. Love the riddle. Evan is sure too love it as well. I like your addition of washi tape. One would think it a deliberate part of the plan.

Super! I love the joke; love the humor; love your "wonky" hand drawn freezer; and I especially love the design. I always have trouble with interactive cards (except wobbles) and the size of the images is usually the first trouble I run into. But you managed beautifully and I think Evan will really enjoy both the joke and the mechanism. Great card.
