 | | The theme for today is "Blue," which made me think of the song "Old Dog Blue." While I was familiar with the song, I had never actually listened to it before. Like many old-time dog stories, it has a sad ending, which turns this project into a sympathy card. My card features a blue color scheme, inspired by a blues song about a dog named Blue, and it makes me feel blue (sad).
I used my Cricut to cut out the tree and gravestone as a nod to the line in the song about burying Blue under a tree. The Cricut performed well, which is always appreciated and impressive.
Next, I layered the cut-out cardstock with blue Park Lane paper and added a strip made from some scraps. I stamped the hound dog, fussy cut it out, and placed a small sympathy note in the corner.
