It is my pleasure to be your hostess in the Color Challenge this week. My focus today is to hold onto summer as long as I can! This being the final CC summer post for 2024, I've chosen Pretty in Pink, Berry Burst, and Granny Apple Green, with the dessert option of Summer.
I resisted buying this lovely stamp set for a long time--how many flower stamps does one person really need?--but finally decided it was too pretty to pass up! I stamped on paper designed for colored pencils, colored with Polychromos pencils, and used gamsol and blending stumps to smooth out the colors. Then I fussy cut the image, using both scissors and a craft knife.
The rest was easy and pretty self-explanatory. White layer is exposed brick embossing folder, champagne foil oval, heat embossed greeting. I'm sitting here looking at this card as I write, and thinking about sequins. But in the end I've decided to leave it as is.
How are you feeling about the end of summer? If you're sorry to see the days fly by, take this opportunity to make one more summer card before autumn is upon us! Make a card, and post it in the gallery for us all to admire!

Gorgeous card, Barbara! Very eye-appealing with everything so perfectly placed! No need for any bling to distract from its beauty. Love the foil oval and your amazing fussy cutting skills plus your expert coloring using pencils! Indeed a true piece of art!
