Color Challenge hosted by Karen. Her lovely colors are Flirty Flamingo, Petal Pink, Old Olive with butterflies for the dessert option.
I love butterflies! I realized I do not have any newer butterflies. So, I relied on some old favorite stamp sets. First, I stamped the leaf stem from God's Beauty and then stamped the butterfly and flower separately. I colored all with blends markers. The butterfly & flower are fussy cut. The butterfly is adhered over a stamped one allowing the wings to bend up. The flower petals were curved up and glued in the middle of flower.
Die-cut the panel. Then, I light sponged white craft ink on a dry embossed Flirty Flamingo piece. Layered both on Old Olive DSP on a Petal Pink tent fold card base. Finished off with a cotton ribbon bow, a crystal in the flower center and some Wink of Stella on the butterfly wings & flower petals. No sentiment for now.
Beautiful colors to work with. The gallery will be lovely this week! Hope you join in. TFL

Lovely design and Beautifully executed, Diane! I especially like the way you colored your butterfly and bloom. I still have God's Beauty...it's one of my favorite stamp sets~

Elegant in its simplicity, this lovely card would be perfect for almost any occasion. I love the three-dimensional flower and butterfly, and the white ink on the embossed panel adds such a beautiful touch!
