I knew I was going to paint on copy paper to put in my journal. But before I painted on the piece that had the hymn I did a test run on a scrap. I liked how it looked and decided to collage it onto another page. I used picked a napkins from my art club stash box. I have been doing art club with school aged girls at my church. I went through my craft room and de stashed papers and scraps that they can use in their art journals. The napkin wasnât quite big enough so I picked colors as close as I could to the napkin and watercolored the whole page. Then I glued down the napkin. I added washi tape and part of the mucus from the hymn that didnât fit on the other pages. I had a stack of inspirational vellum that I cut and glued down. I added my flower. I used sharpie marker to edge as well as a graphic marker and a gold marker.

that is the beauty of collage, I would never have even seen that the napkin print did not cover the whole page with the washi and other sketching going on this is cool too.
