I had done a watercolor with plastic wrap on the previous page in my journal and the page had warped a bit so I thought I would do todays watercolor challenge on a separate piece of paper to then glue into the journal. I found a printed hymn in my craft room. I had printed it several years ago for a project but apparently hadn't used it. Because it was copy paper I had to paint very fast so I didn't do the flowers and leaves like in the tutorial of putting the dots for bother the flowers and the leaves and then spreading them. I did flower then leaves. I made a few buds to go along with my opened flowers. I used gold metallic watercolor paint to give some definition to the flowers and leaves. I also used a graphic marker and a white gel pen. I journaled with the graphic marker. I used the sharpie marker to outline. I was originally going to just use the left side of the hymn so I traced it cut it out and after painting I had it glued to my journal. I then started reading the hymn. It had two verses that I don't usually see in my hymn books. I have a pretty good collection of hymn books. So to keep the hymn readable I added the second half to the right side of my journal. Plus side is it closes easier. I have tried gluing full sheets to both sides of my journal and they always warp making it hard to fold. This way having it cut in the middle it folds and closes nicely.

Oh, this is gorgeous in so many ways. I like the colors for the flowers.
