My offering for this week's WCW-painting peonies; and the MIX-sparkle! My sparkle is two metallic watercolors, splattered all over and then some silver gilding flakes on the gray glass bowl. I really tried hard to do a jar. I didn't leave enough room at the bottom so I thought I could do a squatie sort of jar...nope, I worked and worked and worked, finally decided to make it a smoky glass bowl. Still out of wack but I'm less unhappy. I'm pretty happy with the peonies, although I think there could be more leaves or they could be bigger.
Thanks for the challenges! I love Harriet's videos.

Your blooms look beautiful and I like how they are beginning to open. Leaves are pretty, too. Good job with the peonies and the smoky slate was a good idea for the container.

i love your painting. The container doesn't draw the eye to a flaw ..until you mentioned it.. and even then, it's acceptable as a whimsy bowl. great work..keep going!

I really like that vase! I think it goes well with the sway of the peonies. The addition of the shimmery flakes is genius. You are reminding me that I have a peony in the back garden almost overshadowed by other perennials that was here when I bought the house over 35 years ago. I need to cut the blooms to enjoy them. This is a wonderful card - love it!
