I was tempted to just pull a background from my stash, but I as I had the morning set aside for stamping (and baking), I took the time to create a background from scratch using this tutorial - Layered Gesso Background Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers , a long-time favourite. That let me incorporate bees into my background, though by the time everything else was added you may only see one.
I gessoed my background and stamped the bees, the honeycomb and a script stamp. When dry I use white, ochre and a little blue acrylic paint. When dry (plenty of time to fit baking in between layers) I stencilled the basketweave with modelling paste and sprinkled it with Brushos and gold Pixie Powder. Then I added some music stencilling with silver paste, and I rubbed in some Inka gold and other coloured waxes. Edged with Stickles and added Stickles dots. For a quick finish (and to use up stuff that has been around forever), I used some K&Co ephemera, just adding a stamped sentiment tag, and a feather that I found on the floor - I reckoned it echoed the shape of the acetate swirl.

Wow. Sabrina this is fabulous. I had to zoom in and look at every little detail. I love the dimension and texture. I love the music notes. I love the little honeycomb and you have a bee. Bonus points. Thanks for playing along with my challenge.

What a beautiful background this is! Love the glow of the yellows tempered by the grey/blue. I wonder if my Inka Gold is still useable? Been awhile, ha, ha. Great card Sabrina.
