And Ky has us making cards with Exotic Vibes in the MIX challenge (exotic travel plans, books, dreams, etc).
They work together so well. I found this fun scrap of world collage paper in my scrap pile and found some tags in the same pile that had fun little details, I could fussy cut. I decided to make a collaged and painted fish too (saw someone on Pinterest that did something similar).
The paper has something about Australia on it - I want to go there one day and meet Helen and Jayne in person. I am also reading Little Bee right now. Little Bee is in Britain, but she came from Nigeria. I am only in the first part of the book, so I don't know how the two countries are tied together but they are tied somehow (I drew a quick map in the top right and have Nigeria in it).
Fun challenges! This fish was so fun- I am going to make another.

The background paper is great and really lends itself to layered collage with the extra details. But it's your magnificent fish that steals the show. It reminds me of a puppet one my mother once made for a theatre production.

Wowie, Nancy. I'm mixed media challenged and you have blown my mind with the gorgeous collage card! Where do I start? I love everything about it. Your background is amazing and your colorful layered fish is incredible. I even had to translate some of the words (where the earth meets the sea). Simply stunning.
