have dark peach base, then light one then white ran thru with eb folder, used deboss side brushed on yellow for flowers green for leaves then when dry took slate grey ink pad ran over lightly several times to cover background but not colored flowers--demo called it black out tech but sorta reminds me of Joseph coat tech, added the ribbon, cut circle die sponged light yellow, stamped sentiment and did the 96, adding mini balloons ----inside has flower stamped and some bees and wrote the Words The Bee's Knees

I love that technique and the results are so lovely. I like that you used gray instead of black -- softer and more celebratory and looks great with your yellows and peaches. Wonderful card for Eleanor. I'm sure she will love those beautiful flowers.

Fab background and I love you did a big 96 on it too. This is super well done! Hugz

Sweet card, what a fabulous background! You really rocked that technique!

Beautiful card! Great variation on the black out technique -- your yellow flowers are so pretty against the grey background. And I love the festive balloons you added to the sentiment.

I think Lydia called it blackout too when she put a tutorial in the Inkling, but I didn't find that name when I featured it as the TLC in January - I know what you mean about Joseph's Coat. I was going to say you'd done an amazing job colouring the embossing. It's weird how sometimes in photos embossing looks like debossing and vice versa.
Beautiful soft background and a fun balloon wreath.
