My son and DIL have deer in the woods behind their house in MD so I usually make a card with a deer on it for them for Christmas - so I was happy to see Imke's lovely Deer card!
I used a different die
I used a different DP
I put the stars in the deers antlers instead of on his body.
I tied a bow of wrinkled seam tape instead of twine.
I didn't add music to the bottom of the panel.
I popped my deer up on foam dots.
I added a black eye to my deer.
I die cut my deer out of white hammered card and rubbed Lost Shadow DOX over it.
I won this pretty DP entering a Christmas challenge and I just love it - I'm going to make more of these deer cards.
Thanks for the inspiration Imke!

What a wonderful card! I love the beautiful paper, the deer head die cut, and the stars in its antlers are magical. Love the crinkled seam binding bow, too!

What a wonderful card, Julia! I love the lost shadow ink on the hammered white for your deer! That DSP in the BG and wrinkled burgundy ribbon are really stunning! Outstanding card!

You definitely need to make more of these! I love that paper and the deer is so beautiful - almost camouflaged against the background which is exactly what they do (we have them in our back yard too).
I love this - so icy, beautiful, and perfectly designed.
Great Christmas card and case, Julia.
Thanks for joining in the celebration and always making the best cards. Hugz
