For this project, I made flowers using two butterfly dies. Color a bunch of watercolor papers with Distress Ink. Die cut butterflies and cut off two of the wings. Glue together in pairs and assemble into a flower. Fringe a strip of paper to make the flower center.
The background was done with a stencil. Apply embossing ink through the stencil and white emboss. Ink with Distress Ink. Place the stencil back, off-setting it slightly and ink with a darker shade of ink, for a shadow effect.

What a creative way of making the flowers. Fab colour contrast with the background, too. The shadow makes it look so dimensional, I had assumed at first that it was texture paste.
