Tarra is fighting cancer and celebrating a birthday so the Tea Potters are sending cards of support and good wishes her way.
Well, you all know how much I love to use butterflies for these occasions, but in this case I just wanted to use my new swirling butterfly die that came in the mail last night. I had the base die FOREVER and only found out recently there are at least two other dies that can be combined with it. I chose swirly and I hope Tarra enjoys my choice.
I wanted lots of green and a bit of nature but I wanted it to be in the bg. So I stamped the leaves first and then ink blended over them to make them look a bit hazy. They stand out in this photo, but they do look hazy IRL. And the colors are richer and more vibrant IRL as well. I inked direct to paper for the green edging and added the bubbles. I love the way they reflect back the colors around them.
Our hostess asked us to send either a card of encouragement or a birthday card. I went with this sentiment from PB which I think captures a bit of both. I hope our cards cheer and embolden Tarra to keep fighting. And, I hope you are boldly facing your day as well...oh my, this is beginning to sound like a Star Trek episode...LOL. TFL

The second I saw that butterfly, I had to open it up and take a peek. It is gorgeous and I love those trailing vines. You created such a beautiful card for Tarra and the sentiment is perfect.

Great card! I love that trailing foliage you stamped in the background. And those iridescent bubbles are so pretty. The sentiment is a perfect combination of birthday and encouragement.

Fabulous! Your BG stamping/inkling is outstanding. I love how you stamp your BG's. The butterfly die is beautiful as is your gems and headline...

A beautiful leafy green background. How cool to find that swirling butterfly overlay to match with your existing set. It looks very dramatic. Those bubbles are beautiful.
