Barbara is hosting our color challenge this week and she has chosen Polished Pink, Lemon Lolly and Parakeet Party with an embossing folder as dessert.
I blended the full bouquet and then decided this would be a good time to use a smaller die that cuts out just a portion of the full bouquet. That's what gave me the larger rose in the lower right of the card. I couldn't bear to toss out the remaining parts of the bouquet so I tried putting one of the pieces as a second image draped down from the top of the card. I'm not sure it I like it better with or without the extra piece...I guess it works both ways.
Thank you for taking a peek. I hope you have a chance to play with these pretty colors!
You can see both versions of this card on this blog post.

I like that you used mostly yellow on this Beauty, Chris! The partial embossing on the cb looks Beautiful, and even though the other colors are light, they still show up well against the light yellow cb~

So pretty Chris - I jumped over to your Blog and honestly, I like both versions of the card. The soft coloring of the rose looks perfect with the focus on the lemon shade.

Lovely!! I like how you featured the Lemon Lolly for the card base, ribbon and embossing. The pink & yellow roses stand out so pretty. Terrific layout. Love it!

I couldn't resist hopping over to your blog to see both versions. FWIW, I strongly favor this one with the "leftover" floral image at the top, as well as the single rose. I think it adds balance to the overall design. This card is really beautiful!

This is just so pretty! I love the Lemon background and that embossed edge and ribbon are fabulous. I really like your layout, so I would say the spray of flowers at top are just right!
