It's been a long time since I pulled my seed beads out, that was fun. After making the seahorse I decided I didn't want a complex background, so I looked through my stash and found this piece which had a circle stamped with a leafy stamp in pale Brusho colours - so it must have been a second or third generation impression, but why just a circle when it's a large cover-a-card backgrounder I cannot remember. I embossed it in a Marianne EF, masked the centre and swiped over the chevron embossing. To clean up the rope circle I cut two concentric circles and embossed them and used that as an overlay. I added a starfish and seaweed cut from scraps. I did also add a few sequins.
Polly mentioned the difficulty of flying beads, sequins, etc. I have received, and therefore surely also sent, more than one card where sequins had come unstuck in the mail - though at least you can always see where to stick them back. But a suggestion from Joanne/Angelnorth to use silicone glue has, AFAIK, revolutionised my gluing of small items, albeit with a slower drying time than Glossy Accents etc. I keep a small syringe in a bag on my desk and it's almost always finished long before it dries out. Pinflair is my glue of choice for sequins, gems, and here the seahorse too which in the past I might have secured with a couple of invisible stitches just to be sure it stayed put.

Those seed beads were the perfect ones to use on your seahorse and also that is a perfect background. Silicone glue sounds like a winner. Super card!

Beautiful card! I love your beaded seahorse -- such a cool creation! And I appreciate your advice about silicone glue. I've been looking for a new glue to use when attaching embellishments (can't find the old brand anymore), so I'll definitely give it a try.

I'm glad you weren't discouraged from using the seed beads as they can be a bit difficult. This is so cool , great texture, and it goes perfectly with your found circle bg. I like the two goldish leafy bits....just a bit of interest for your seahorse...they're not too much, not too little.

Fun sea horse with the beads, my granddaughter has got a lot of these beads and she showed me how to use them, I think yours are much smaller and I love your underwater scene!!
Taking a closer look, I see now you've used sewing, so these are not aqua beads, so it's even prettier!!
