I had a pretty good time painting this lovely idea of cherries and blossoms, even though those two things wouldn't be on a cherry tree at the same time. But it's a lovely, romantic way to think about it.
The only thing that really tripped me up was the sketching. I don't feel like I connected things very well, especially the blossoms to the branches. But, oh well. To make the blossoms a bit more interesting, I added a little bit of Dr PhMartin white and some white metallic, just to tone them down. I did the same with the cherries, only with a gold/red and white metallic. Wanted to give everything a bit more shine.
I'm not sure what I'll do with this so left off a sentiment. Thanks for the challenge. I think of all the artists we watch, I like Harriet the best. She's a good teacher and cute to look at. Love the puppy Crumble.

Love the extra colors, Jean - especially on those cherries. I should have thought to lighten up my flowers with white. Great card. Hugz

Some botanical paintings have the blossoms and fruits together. I'm glad you like the artist. I do too. She has a way of teaching her painting and sketching. Your painting is terrific, like how you did the leaves with the added pink. You never went to Door County to pick fresh cherries. It was an annual event for our family. Best cherries for pie. TFS

Look at those delicious looking cherries, so plump, and the leaves in different shades of green and pink look great. Pretty blooms, too. Wonderful work on the WCW
challenge.

Harriet is one my favorites also I think this is fun because, you know branches do not tuck politely behind all the blooms ha ha as much as we may want to. I kept telling my self it was like painting purple unicorns or 9 legged octopuses, just something different to try. I do like that your Branch drapes down into the scene and the shine a lot Jean.
