I chose to make a card based on one of my button pins. I love these button cards and knew that I had this stamp set with the guy in the starched shirt that mimicked the shirts on the cards. I did add a couple of buttons on the bottom of my card to include the button aspect of my inspiration. I decided to have him checking out an owl in the tree because I recently went on a walk with my niece and we were able to observe an owl in its nest. I'm going to send her this card.

What a great card. That guy is pretty cool looking. Love your mix of papers in the background. And how awesome that you got to see an owl in a nest. I would love to see that. I did, one time, see a hummingbird in its tiny nest. Thanks for letting us use your Pinterest Board for inspiration.

Your gentleman birdwatcher is exactly what I've come to expect as a "Polly Image". He really does resemble the guys in those button cards, and I love how you blended all the colors and patterns into a cohesive scene.

OMGosh, Polly, this is fabulous. So much to look at here. I love the way your vintage guy is put together with his suspenders over his shirt tails and his fancy shoes. I think I need some Character Construction stamps. Your paper pieced background is perfect and your stitching is very impressive. Stitching on paper is not a talent of mine. Wonderful card!
