I tried a masking pen and the masking fluid. The fluid is far easier to remove but a little trickier to apply. I masked off most of my mad pelican and some of the posts. I need a card for a 6 year old who has grandparents in San Diego so I thought a pelican done my way would be fun

My, my, what a big bill you have!!! Love your fun pelican and the pretty ocean water. Bet the birthday boy will love it, too. Good job with the masking. I'm with you, haven't tried the pen but think I would like the liquid better.

Adorable card with your fun pelican. Fantastic job with the fluid. I haven't tried the pen yet. Like how you did the pelican feathers and the water ripples. Thanks for playing and sharing your creation.

Janine - this is first-class all the way! Your pelican looks fantastic and I assume the ripples in that dark blue water are from the masking pen . . . Much easier to get the swirls with that, I'm sure. Outstanding painting!!!
