Today's Inspiration site was The Inspired Room where I ran across this Woven Jute Mat
I felt this would make a great start to a masculine card. Earlier in the week I stuck an interesting magazine cover in my stash and decided with the black swirls of barbed wire, it would make a super background. It was both slick & flimsy so I modge pogded it to some cardstock and set aside to dry. Cut a tan banner and embossed with basket weave folder. Die cut my letters from the bg wire but they were too light and blended into the banner so sponged with Peacock Feathers, then swiped on versamark and embossed with Ultra thick EP. I attached my banner with eyelets to continue the rustic masculine feel of this card.
This turned out to be the perfect inspiration for my son's birthday card!

Super magazine cover with the barb wire and makes a great masculine card. Like that the letters have the barb wire, also. Wonderful embossing folder. I think you spent a good bit of time on this card for your son and I think he will be very pleased.

Now this is creative using a piece from the site and a magazine cover. When I saw your card I knew it was someone from Texas. It made a terrific masculine and western themed card.
