Today Brenda asked for snowdrops, here are mine, I don't have masking fluid anymore so first thought this time it's not for me, but gave it a try without masking, I've sketched my snowdrops and painted around, using lighter colors than in the video, without painting the flowers, there was a bit of paint anyway so used white water color to paint over the flowers but didn't cover enough, so finally I've used a bit of acrylic white for the snowdrops
I've added it on a navy blue base and finally think it isn't so bad

Good work around without the masking fluid. I was hoping if some didn't have masking fluid they would do just what you did. Your snowdrop blooms have really pretty shapes and you created a very pretty card.

I am thinking that worked just fine, I intend to take another look of the one I started with that had just a wash of color over the sketch to see if adding more white to where I want the petals to be will work, and looking at yours I think it will

Beautifully done, Anita. Your snowdrops look fantastic with their realistic shape and shading. It sounds like you have used masking fluid before. I have not, so it was interesting to see how it worked. I'm going to use it more to get a better feel for what I can do with it. TFS

Super pretty, Anita. I should have tried softer tones too, but it is all an adventure, right? Your painting is lovely! Hugz

I had a Winsor Newton bottle of masking fluid, it's all dried up. Fortunately I had another brand, working on it now, we'll see how it goes. I think you did beautiful work without it.
