Anita has a great Tea Party Challenge this week - to be inspired by one of the many idioms we know.
I chose Flew The Coop, escaping. I remembered I had a white die cut birdcage I had purchased a few years ago. Today I inked it in the red and brown tones to give it a bit of a rustic look. I have also had this chipboard bird for a long time. I used acrylic paint to give him a fresh look and a tiny pearl for his eye. The birdcage is adhered with Dimensionals. Stamped the sentiment and die cut using the Messages die. Added the swirl in the corner using a piece of leftover Lemon Lime Twist C/S from yesterday.

Beautiful card! I love the rustic look it has. Also, the green and rust colors go together so well. It's great that you were able to modify items from your stash to make this new creation.

Sue, this is sooooo pretty. Love the corrugated background and the bird/cage, but your painting and colors are fabulous. Super well done card. Hugz
