This is my sample for the Color Challenge. Karen is our hostess; her colors are Blueberry Bushel and White. The dessert option is anything goes. My dessert is a special card fold.
I was inspired by a card sent to me by a SCS friend, CJ Nally. I loved her card fold and how sharp it looked with a monochromatic color scheme. See it in her gallery: just a NOTE, cjn by cj nalley at Splitcoaststampers
For my case, I changed the color, the DSP, and the sentiment to birthday. I inadvertently swapped the narrow and wide sides, but it still works. The card opens in the middle, a little offset from center. The focal panel swings to the left, as it is only attached on that side.
Thank you to Karen for the inspiring colors and thanks to CJ for the motivating design.
We hope you will play along with the Color Challenge this week! TFL

This fun fold really works well with the colors. I looked at your inspiration card and that one looks terrific too! The blue and white checked background really looks so crisp and fresh against your flowers--wonderful card!

A happy accident made this beautiful card even better--I like the panels the way you did it! Love that simple floral outline (I still have that set, too!), and the gingham paper!

All the edges line up so perfectly that at first I didn't catch that gate fold on this classic beauty. Don't you think SU should keep these ginghams in the catalog for another year?
