Diane is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us a mixed palette of bright and darker colors, which was a bit of a challenge for me (but that's the whole idea of a challenge, right?). The colors are Poppy Parade, Lost Lagoon and Copper Clay. The dessert option was to add a fourth color, which I happily did: Parakeet Party! I also added a few sprigs of foliage cut from a neutral, Mossy Meadow.
I've had this cute mini-envelope die for a very long time, and had never used it. I'm trying to use items from my stash that haven't seen ink or paper, so this was the week for little envelopes. I cut a variety of flowers and leaves from the challenge colors, and stuffed each little envelope with a bouquet. For the background, I stenciled the mosaic design onto white cardstock with Copper Clay ink. Added a greeting and a few enamel dots for a little shine and sparkle, and it was done!
Please join us in the Color Challenge this week and let's see what you create!

Beautiful! Love the little envelopes bursting with flowers and foliage. So pretty. The mosaic background is perfect for this card. Good for you using something "new but unused". I have many things in that category. You are an inspiration for me to get them out of the package!

Love this card and the background stenciling really sets your mini flower-filled envelopes off well. I like your idea of trying to use stash items. I want to do that this year as well.

This is a beautiful grouping of flowers; they make me think they are climbing up a gorgeous trellis. I love all this texture and the colors are so rich ~ outstanding!
