Perserverance! and I finally got a useable card after some hiccups . . . . my first thought was to stamp the Celtic knots black on gold mirror board but even staz-on didn't want to stick to that. Switched to Emerald green which it turns out is so old it has turned a weird shade of blue so segued to marvy bottle green. After stamping the first knot the whole pad started to crumble and it was just by the grace of God I got a second useable Celtic knot. Whew!
By now I know today I'm meant to 'Keep it CAS' so shuffled my pieces around till the layout felt right then added the sentiment stamped with versamark and embossed with Gold Glory.
I'll get this in the mail to Maggie tomorrow.

I had some old beloved Marvy ink pads that crumbled all over my cards til I finally HAD to let them go. It was hard because I loved the colors and the pads. Glad you were able to get some final love from yours. Irish knots are so beautiful and so are your stamps. Your CAS layout features them perfectly. You shuffled yourself into a wonderful design. Great card.

Well done on getting your two knots stamped. They remind me of my SIL's wedding dress which was a remodelled version of her grandmother's, complete with Celtic knot motifs. A designer friend of hers incorporated them into the invitation, and I was mad enough to reproduce them as decorations for the cake.
I like the verse, sound advice.
