CAS780 = Non-traditional Valentine. My best friend always asks me to make several Valentine cards each year, and one of them always has to have a bird on it. She gives it to her son-in-law who really dislikes birds - it's kind of a standing joke between them that every card she ever gives him has birds on it. So that seems a bit non-traditional to me!
I stamped the bird and then die cut it with a stitched heart die. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment in white on red cs and die cut it with a banner die with tiny heart cutouts at each end. I had some red glitter hearts left from a previous project so glued a few of them on the card.

Hahaha, your friend sounds like quite a character! I love the barn swallow on the raised heart, it's really lovely, as well as the touches of red that pop so beautifully against the white!

This is really a lovely card. And then I read your story and laughed. What a hoot. That''s one way to foster a good relationship with your SIL! Thanks for sharing the story.
