It was not my intent to make a Thanksgiving card, but as I got into it, I decided the colors weren't right for the card I was doing. But one of my New Year's resolutions is to complete cards that I start. So instead of setting it aside, I went ahead and finished it. Bonus - I was also able to use a piece from my Salad bowl! (the squirrel).
I dabbed ink on my work surface, then spritzed with water. I laid a piece of acetate on it, picking up ink to transfer to the white cardstock. I sprinkled on Perfect Pearls while the ink/paper was still wet. Once dry, I dabbed the surface with a dry wipe to get off excess Perfect Pearls.
I stamped with the same inks, using 1st and 2nd generation Pecan Pie. I layered Pumpkin words over Pecan words, slightly offset for a shadow effect.
I was inspired by two Pinterest posts: Averyâs Owlery A new way to Smooch (May 2017) combined with Cards for twins by Stamp with Susie.
I realized as I was writing my notes, I used Pecan Pie ink and Pumpkin Pie ink - hence, the card name...
