Jeanne is our color challenge hostess this week and has chosen Azure Afternoon, Lemon Lolly and Polished Pink with something that starts with B as dessert.
I am sort of "casing" an intriguing card I saw on Instagram by Rachel Gabisonia (cards.byrachel). She made an amazing card with animals in a Boat against a night sky scene. The transition between the moon and the sky was amazing and it seemed to call for Azure Afternoon and Lemon Lolly. So I tried a masked circle surrounded by blue, but with irregular application of yellow on the circle/moon, but then extending out into the blue. Does that make sense? Anyway I rummaged through my sets and found an alcohol ink type image in Artistically Inked and used that to put some yellow on the moon and a little outside. I added some navy to darken the blue at the bottom of my scene. I also splashed a little water to get some irregular dots. Anyway, my version doesn't approach hers but I loved playing with the idea and will try the concept again some time.
Thanks for taking a peek and do try to play along with us this week!

I guess my kids' interest in astronomy affected my perception of this card! I don't see a moon, I see the sun with solar flares! Either way, your sailors seem to be having fun on their adventure! Love the triangular border and the decorative strip down the side (your trademark?).
