I didn't exactly go looking for a particular photo on today's inspiration site. When I saw all the quilts it inspired me to make a quilt out of road map for a card that my sister asked for. Her sister-in-law bought a new house in Riverside, Rhode Island yesterday. So I found Riverside in one of my road maps. I have a collection that my friend Paul gave me--like a basket full of all kinds of old maps. I used one of the quilt patterns in my ScanNCut to cut the map and some plain white cardstock. Then I stamped and die cut a little house. I colored it gray to match the actual house, but I didn't like it. So I stamped the house again onto a leftover piece of map and paper pieced the house. A little more interesting. This is my favorite sentiment for new home cards: "Home is where the heart is...even if you can't remember which box you packed it in."

How cute is that paper pieced house. You sure made a wonderful card for a new homeowner.
