This photo with the hearts having subtle color changes within them inspired me to combine several challenges from this week into one watercolored heart. With waterproof black ink, the sentiment was stamped on watercolor paper. Sketched the heart and watercolored it. Added spatters with inks and watercolors. Completed the design with a fine black marker turning the sentiment into a balloon string. Added a red gem and gold pen border. A quick and simple valentine.

Sigh...your water coloring skills are amazing, Sallie. The design of this beautifully water colored card is fabulous. The balloon looks light enough to fly away and I love the splatters.
