While I was working (at a girls' high school), I was lucky enough to lead trips for students. The trip to Italy was the most popular and one of the stops was Florence. As a calligrapher and card maker, I loved shopping for the beautiful Florentine papers. Il Papiro is one of the leading paper shops. I would bring an empty tube so I could bring my rolled purchases home safely in my suitcase. Florence is also home to one of my favorite places in the world - the cloister at Santa Croce. The basilica is known for the memorials and tombs to many famous people, but when you exit side door in the front, you enter a space of peace, quiet and beauty.

What a beautiful card, love the Florentine paper you brought home with you. Wonderful memories too! Would you believe that my DH and I went to Italy - twice! and never made it to Florence?!

Ah Firenze. So many wonderful memories visiting there. We will be back there again this year briefly. Your Florentine paper is absolutely beautiful. I would never have thought to have bought paper and brought it back. Now you have enabled me LOL. I love the sentiment Jo Anne. Beautiful card. Happy day and hugs
