This journal page is for my MMJ Challenge. You can find details of the challenge HERE
Come and check it out. We have monthly prompts and you can choose as many as you wish to create your project. It can be a card; journal page; tag or scrapbook page. We also like to chat about different techniques and creative ideas.
For my project I started with a page in my journal where I had simply wiped spare paint onto. I also had 3 circles which I had put on the page using my sponge dauber. I never let any spare ink or paints go to waste. I had also stamped some random things on the BG which unfortunately are covered up. This page has been sitting in my journal for some time waiting to be used, and today was the day.
I started by stamping my flowers around my circles. The colours were not right so I had to improvise and draw around the stamped image using my pen and pencils. As you can see they aren't even and that is ok.
I also wanted to use this flamingo die cut which Amy (Shirleysgirl) had sent to me some time ago. Thank you Amy. I love her. I also loved the sentiment she had stamped on her envelope but will save that for another project although it would have been great to go with my flamingo. Don't you think she is gorgeous? She is just lazing the day away being awesome LOL.
I seem to be going through a phase of tearing papers up on my projects and saw some music paper in my stash. I also found the negative die cut which I had made years ago using my gelli plate. My intention was to create something with water after watching an old TH class but that is for another time. I did use water though on my watercolour pencils which I used on the flowers.
I stamped a border and added the light bulb. This is my strange item on my page. Perhaps my flamingo is having a lightbulb moment.
I am learning to not use up all of the space on projects, something I have trouble with. I had to stop myself from getting carried away but am happy with the result.
Some days it is good to just go with the flow and do whatever comes into your head. This page makes me smile.
TFL. Happy day
