Linda is hostess for the WCW Challenge this week and has given us a wonderful tutorial to get us ready for Valentine's Day or another occasion if you wish.
The tutorial is 5 in a Easy Watercolor Tutorial by Tina Williams Art. I did two but am only posting one to the gallery. It is the one I most enjoyed painting...her card #2. I used a die cut to pencil around for my heart and wet around the outside. Then, the painting started and I loved watching the colors move. So fun.

I love this new Daniel Smith watercolor I used (new to me). It is a really dark red or, of course, you can make it lighter which I used both ways.

So glad you posted this one as the watercolor makes me think of red frilly chiffon lace around the outside of that heart. Definitely the romantic kind of Valentine's from days gone by.

I thought this design was awesome and really shows the properties of watercolor. I love that you tried this and that little peeking of plaid sets it off so well.

What a gorgeous color you used to outline the heart! I just glows! I love your offset placement, and the striking background makes for such a beautiful contrast! Beautiful!
