CAS 776 - my friend Pam wants Birthday cards
So, this morning I combined challenges. I might not be quite correct with my 4 in 1 background, but it is what it is. On an 8-1/2 x 11" white card, I brayed my colors on & I'm really not happy with all the lines. I then cut this page in half, both ways. Then I stamped this large dahlia from Fun Stampers Journey. I used MISTI & stamped 3 times. I did the same with the Happy Birthday. Then, using Encore Gold & Silver inks, I stenciled using my new SU stencil & a small blending brush & using some masking when necessary. I'm not sure what my verdict is ....
Thanks for stopping by.

I love the brayered background and the very pretty flower. Great to get in two challenges.

I love the colors you chose, and I honestly think the brayer lines add a lot of interest! Your dahlia stamp was a perfect choice to show off this beautiful background!

I like the lines - my problem with brayering was I didn't have good definition of my blocks of colour. I like the gold and silver for geometric stencilling, but I'm impressed that they dried for you. I've always had to emboss them, so for stamping only I use Delicata, but it's never as rich a metallic look.
