Thank you, Sabrina, for suggesting our tea party bring feathers to the gathering! I loved the prompt and actually had an idea immediately. This Indigo Blu set has been waiting for me to ink it up for a really long time.
The largest feather is what you see on the front. It appears to have been made into a quill and there was a bottle and cap included that made a perfect inkwell. I used a vellum paper and embossed with the chunky 'Frantage' embossing enamel. I loved the 'splats' of ink around on the paper. They were embossed with an iridescent ep 'Violet' making it lavender and shiny.
The dp is a lovely collage of cursive writing as well as tiny leaves on the diagonal and more green 'smudges'. The 'feathered' stitching across the top is from a very old unmounted red rubber stitches set. It too was embossed in the shimmery 'Violet' ep.
The Create Art was used across the upper corner. Thank you for stopping by. May your New Year be filled with every happiness.

Great sentiment for any crafter. Love the background DP. I would have sworn that was real feather stitching till I read that it was embossed - the texture is so realistic looking.

Very artistic...I love your use of the chunky ep...really cool. And like Sabrina I was once again fooled into believing you stitched the top part yourself. A beautiful tickle...some Teapotter will be thrilled to receive this..

Susan, I always have and continue to admire your creative style and mind. This shows it brilliantly, and I continue to be amazed at what resides in your stash!! I love reading your write ups because you share your process, and I love glimpsing a bit of who you creatively are. The things that capture me here are the soft colours, the fabulous faux feather stitching, and I’m always a sucker for script in the bg. I’m also greatly impressed that you not only had a feather, but an inkwell to go along with it. Your sentiment says it!
