I chose this card to case. It inspired me to use a stamp I hadn't yet inked up, and also to make a card to send to my sister who lives in eastern Canada where they get pretty tough winters (unlike me out in Vancouver!). I CASEd Kirra's idea of a single tree with a fence and a very chilly winter scene but changed the stamp and the colour scheme.
I put the stamp in my MISTI and inked it up with Memento Dew Drop inks - the pointed shape of the little Dew Drops helps ink up things like the fence posts that I wanted brown and the snowy drifts that I wanted light grey. I inked and stamped repeatedly until I was happy with the results. I then inked up the whole stamp with Versamark and stamped over the coloured inks, and heat embossed it. This sealed in the colours and allowed me to sponge the sky without worrying about smudging my image. I used a variety of Distress inks to sponge the sky. I added a heat embossed sentiment.

Fabulous case of Kirra's serene card. I LOVE that sentiment and your scene is breathtaking! Thanks for the tip using the dewdrops and sharing the other details too. Much appreciated, Susan!

What a beautiful winter scene. Could be morning but it somehow has the feeling of evening to me. Reminds me of visiting my grandparent's farm many decades ago and looking out at the drifts against the fences. Love your sky!
