 | | Hello everyone! Happy Christmas EVE! in my continuing posting today (DH sick with flu, all plans cancelled..etc) Here is another fun card I made this holiday season.
In an effort to USE ALL I HAVE and not buy anything new to use this holiday... I used this REAL RED Watercolor Wash bg page I stamped a few yrs ago, RR CS stash, OLD VELLUM stash, and a stamp I have used a bit last year.
WT955 - Versatile Vellum I always thought I would use it more than I do, but this was really fun and easy, I may use it more in the future! I love the soft coloring and it's so 'girly' to me, perfect for my girlfriends cards.
FULL DISCLOSURE: I CASE'd this card from a sample one of the wonderful 'Bellas' from Stampingbella made and video'd directions. I have tried to find it again to post here, but can't find it.
here's the scoop: Stamp image on Vellum with STAZON, I sewed Vellum to Watercolor Wash BG page, stamp image again on white CS with any ink - Fussy Cut out
take STRIP of Post It sticky part and fold in half. Press 1/2 side of strip of POST IT note sticky part of paper to the Fussy Cut white CS image, lay it under the Vellum page until the IMAGE MATCHES UP to the Vellum image and press Vellum down onto the white CS.
Once those are stuck together you can turn them upside down and spread a bit of glue on back side of Fussy Cut image on white CS and stick it down to the BG page (red watercolor wash), then turn it around and lift up on vellum to remove the Post It Tape strip.
Use Scor Tape to spread across the Front side of vellum to the edges of the BG paper and lay sentiment over top of that. that helps keep the vellum FLAT and doesn't lift up anymore.
mount this bundle to the Card Stock (Real Red) and DONE!
It was quick and easy once my Quinn and her Boots stamped images were fussy cut.
You can attach Vellum to CS many ways, I chose to sew a small edge at the top.
I added a Note size piece of Whisper White cs inside for my message to girlfriends.
