 | | My card is for the Color Challenge hosted by Jeanne. Her pretty & fun colors are Sweet Sorbet, Lemon Lime Twist, Petal Pink and Daffodil Delight with the dessert option of a fun card fold.
I was inspired by a card from a SCS swap partner for the fun card fold dessert. When the ribbon is untied, the shorter top panel opens to the right and the longer plaid panel opens to the left. Then, the white panel is fully visible for a sentiment and/or message. Just make sure you do not write anything in the upper or lower right corners as it can be seen when the card is folded up.
These colors gave me a crafty break from my Christmas preparations. Some creative time was just what I needed. In my stash, I spotted a stamp set that I have not used yet and it worked well for my fun fold and the colors. The yellow is in the flower centers & the ribbon. The pink is colored around the branches over each of the dots. I used Wink of Stella on the dots to give the pink areas some sparkle.
The focal panel was die-cut with a scallop edge and matted on LL Twist. The layered panel is popped up on the Sweet Sorbet fold out panel.
I will link my card for the SCS Divine Designs Bible Verse Challenge, too. This verse from Proverbs is a favorite.
I hope you will take a break to create with these colors and perhaps even use a fun fold. It could be a refreshing, creative respite during this busy season. TFL |
