Love the colors from Chris this week. I had fun making this card for many reasons. While doing it thought of the members of this community who were part of it. It reminded me of how it takes a village to raise a child. First, I sketched the holly on water color paper. I glued it to gold paper that counterpat sent me. Fussy cut it out. I have recently favored two cards from gabbygal and mitchygitchygoomy who used holly and gold. This is where I got the inspiration from. Embossed background adhered the holly and sentiment and added gold twine. TFL

Linda, how beautiful your rendition of holly and gold is! You are such an artist and you create such gorgeous heARTwork! This is stunning, and I absolutely love the script of your sentiment. It has that old world look, and definitely brings to mind a peaceful, lamp lit village of yesteryear.

I simply love how you use white and snow to help set these colors off. The delicate strands of gold add to the heartfelt magic you create. It's kind of timeless.

Brilliant! Amazing creation! The watercolor artistry is superb. I've said it before your "art" can be hung in a gallery. The techniques are stunning...

Gorgeous, Linda. It is great to get inspiration for other talented artists. Your holly looks awesome and I love the white paint on your gold paper in the background. It's all beautiful, as usual.

Fabulous! I enjoyed reading about how this holly & your card were created and about your inspiration. It does take a village! Beautiful use of the challenge colors. Wonderful texture. Love it.
