Loved Laura/incendiary's fun gallery! I especially liked her cards that recycled and fancied up some reused commercially printed Christmas cards, and happily, I had some of my own in a bag of scraps I brought with me. I chose a nativity scene card and cut out the focal image with a rectangle die, as well as a a larger glittery Christmas star. I also had a piece of the foiled starry sky paper in the scraps, so these came together easily.
I trimmed a rectangle of copper metallic cardstock a little larger than the nativity image and glued together. I added glitter glue haloes to the figures in the photo and set aside to dry.
I trimmed the blue paper to cover the front of a Dollar Tree/Hallmark notecard that had a wood print design, so I left that as a border. I trimmed the Christmas Star to fit and glued in the upper left corner, then attached the main image with foam tape. I stamped the pine branches three times and die cut, then glued in place to form the stable roof overhang. I was wishing I had a darker green ink or could have done heat embossing but I had to work with my supplies on hand. I finished by adding amber gem stickers to the larger stars on the background paper.
Congratulations to Laura, hope it has been a fun week for you!
