I finished filling the pages of my art journal yesterday so I was excited to start a new one. One that was specifically for watercolor. I opened to the first page and as I painted I was very disappointed because it didnât want to take the paint. It was so slick and colors didnât want to flow like they usually do. It also didnât photograph well because the shine on the page reflected the lettering making it looked smeared. I was so sad. Then I turned the page and saw that the following pages were truly watercolor paper. So of source I had to do two paintings. I am sharing this first one anyway because maybe it will encourage someone who is struggling with painting. Not all attempts are successful but each one can teach us something. What I learned was turn the page.

It's wonderful and I sure didn't see anything that looked smeared. Glad you turned the page and found what you needed.
