Would you believe I created this card for the Clean and Simple challenge? Of course, you would! My eyes completely overlooked the CAS and became singularly focused on the word "Pumpkin". Instead of incorporating CAS766, I focused on the word "Pumpkin" and ended up creating a complicated Pumpkin King card whose eyes light up when pressed.
This week, I decided to try my hand at creating a light-up card. After watching several tutorials on YouTube, I ordered the necessary supplies from Amazon. When the supplies arrived yesterday, I was a bit overly excited to get started.
To create the scary image of the Pumpkin King imagined (I believe he is from Charlie Brown?), I used Midjourney and designed an original image. I then purchased some prewired LEDs from Amazon and taped the negative wire to the negative side of a 3V watch battery. I also taped the positive red wire to a folded piece of paper, which, when pressed, touches the red wire to the battery's positive side, resulting in light.
I cut out a small space for the eyes and taped the wires and LEDs behind them using Scotch tape. I built up the bottom layer with two-sided foam tape, similar to when building a shaker card. Although it's not perfect, I'm pleased with my first attempt. However, since it doesn't meet the challenge requirements, I'm uploading it without submitting it.
Thanks for looking and Happy Halloween!

WOW, what an amazing creation! And soooo spooky and scary! Thanks for explaining how you got his eyes to light up.

Other than this being horrifically scary, I'd say it's pretty amazing. Your pumpkin art is fabulous and you seem to have mastered the lighting. Excellent job! Now I need to go look at kittens and puppies to get the "scary" out of my head. LOL.
BTW, Lydia featured this card on the SCS FB page the other day.
