 | | Tidying my desk - these Chinese Lanterns have been floating round so long I was afraid they'd get damaged. The orange lanterns were in the bag already die-cut, probably DOX. I cut the stem from a green but it was too light so I darkened it quite a bit. Used a fossil stone background (TLC968 - Fossil Background - 09/11/2023 by Cook22 at Splitcoaststampers ) and edged it with a black pen.
In the end I peeled the lanterns (popped up on foam) off and stuck the white pine boughs underneath. This will go to my aunt-in-law. My aunt who died this year always brought her Chinese lanterns - apparently they won't grow for Mary which astonishes me because I have found them invasive anywhere I have grown them. I brought her a bunch earlier this year while they still had all their green leaves attached and thought I'd send a matching Christmas card. |
