We are sending cards to Jane this week. I painted the flowers and butterfly on the card, and then I stamped the butterfly again on rice paper and painted it and glued just the body on top of the other butterfly, to let the wings stay free.

Lovely. I love it when the wings are not glued down. It looks like the butterfly can take off at any moment. Beautiful images and beautifully colored. Great card.

I really like all the white space, and the colorful images, Pat!

What an awesome way to do those butterflies...lovely card. My brother and mother died in 2016 too. My brother was unexpected, collapsed at the end of a stress test; he was her caretaker so we had to move Mom to a facility and that was the beginning of the end for her. Alzheimer's did her in. Tough year for both of us. Thinking of you.
