To pull out my gilding flakes and attempt a combination of copper and gold to imitate the variegated patina on the pinned piece.
I used 4 inch wide double sided tape to cover a small rectangle of cardstock, then peeled off the second backing and dropped it into a container with a mix of gold and copper flakes. I applied by hand and rubbed until the excess was largely gone, then die cut the leaf from the gilded piece.
It took me long enough to figure out the gilding and die cutting that I went with a very simple card. I glued the leaf to a rectangle of moss green cardstock, then dry embossed the dark orange piece and glued that to a premade Kraft card. I attached the leaf piece with foam tape. Might add a sentiment later or just use as a notecard.
