The WT Challenge today is in recognition of International Walk To School Month. I walked to both my primary and high school, rain or shine! I really only had about a 20 minute walk either way.
I started my card by stencilling the clouds in the sky and then applying a thin sheen of the white liquid pearls. I chose this Dp to represent the pavement I walked on and added a tree lined bg - in reality, I just walked past homes although there were trees! I chose to use Tilda on this card as she is wearing socks and shoes like I would have been doing. I stamped and coloured her using Copics. I paper pieced. her dress - my school uniforms, at both schools, were blue check tunics, the blue colouring was a lighter colour than the blue here. I fussy cut Tilda and adhered her using Dimensionals. Stamped and die cut the sentiment.
TFL!

An adorable card with the sweet little girl in her gingham dress with the bright yellow umbrella. You created a wonderful and detailed scene for her, Sue.

I love the image with her socks and shoes. Cute with the paper pieced outfit, and the sidewalk looks great, Sue.

What a sweet Tilda in her blue check dress. You created such a wonderful scene and I loved reading your post about walking to school. Bet this brought back memories of school days.

What a wonderful scene you created, Sue, to evoke your school walk. I'm betting the sheen of peal on the clouds looks just fantastic. The gingham dress made me smile - when I started secondary school our sewing project was some sort of purple gingham smock type thing. I'd been sewing for years, and found it all a bit boring - but that's the exact colour of my gingham.
