This is my card for CC970. Barbara is our hostess and she chose real red, pool party, lemon lolly and old olive for her color combo. Dessert option this week is "new home". Well, I get part of the dessert. I made a Christmas card with a gingerbread cottage.
The background paper is from the Stampin' Up " storybook gnomes" collection. I used a piece of vellum to tone down the paper.
The gingerbread cottage is a new die from CottageCutz. I used a couple of neutrals and the challenge colors to cut the cottage.
Stamped my sentiment and added a few peppermint swirls to complete my card.
Hope you can play along this week. Barbara has chosen some beautiful colors for your card designs.

Now that is just adorable, Mary! I love all the red candy decorations and the white swirly frosting! The huge snowflakes in the background are such fun, too!

This is such a sweet gingerbread house set in a snowy surrounding. I'm so impressed with the patience it takes to assemble these charming die cut scenes! Kudos!

Saying this card is a "sweet treat" has both figurative and literal meanings...I mean who doesn't love gingerbread and peppermints, right! Love the yellow light beckoning through that small window, I bet there's a warm fire inside there. The soft look of the sky with your velum treatment is super. This cottage is adorable and your setting equally so. Wonderful card.

Don’t send that card to me, Mary! I might try to eat it, LOL! This just puts me in the warm and spicy comfort mood of the holidays…before the crazy shopping hectic days descend. What a beaut!
